Lease of inam land

An inam land was leased way back in the year 1910 for 99 years. Now can leasee cliam ownership on this land?

Quick Summary
This discussion concerns a 99-year lease of Inam land, granted in 1910. The core question is whether the lessee can claim ownership of the land, especially considering that the lease predates the abolition of inams and similar tenures. The conversation also touches upon the legal definition of such leases and their applicability in light of recent judgments from the Telangana High Court regarding land matters in Secunderabad.

99 years lease is a conditional assignment, a kowl, not lease as defined under the Transfer of Property Act. Furthermore, what is the present status of the land now that inams and similar aliented tenures have been abolished?
