Fees of the lawyer is an agreement between lawyer and his/ her client, where there is no thumb rule.

The lawyer fee was informed to you at the beginning itself.

Now what is the dispute.

If the lawyer is demanding more than the agreed amount then you dispute it.

The claim amount if deposited in the court,  you can claim it anytime.

Lawyers' fees under MVOP (Motor Vehicle Occupant Protection) cases can vary, but here are some general insights ¹: - Victims or their kin may have to pay anywhere between 10% and 30% of the compensation amount to lawyers. - In some cases, victims' families may accept money from lawyers to meet immediate expenses, which is added to the final commission deducted in percentage terms. - 'Court expenses' can range from 3% to 5% of the compensation package. - Some lawyers may charge a flat 10% of the compensation as their fee, with no additional expenses during the trial.
