Law practise

Dear Sir / Madam,

One of my friends has completed LLB and obtained membership from the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh in 2013. However, he has been working in a private company in Hyderabad and has not actively practiced law. Now, he has decided to resign from his job and is interested in starting legal practice. Please advise how to begin practicing as a lawyer.

Currently, his membership is registered with the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh instead of Telangana. Is he eligible to file cases in Telangana with his existing Andhra Pradesh enrollment ? Pleasesuggest.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your reply.

No sir, he has verified his details with the Bar Council of the State of Andhra Pradesh and found his information listed under the enrollment records.

Regards,

Venugopal

Enrolment with a single State Bar Council grants an all-India right of practice, allowing you to appear in Telangana courts without immediately transferring your license.

If you intend to permanently practice in Telangana, you can transfer your registration from the AP Bar Council to the Bar Council of Telangana.

You must have passed the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) and possess a valid Certificate of Practice (COP) to practice, as per the Bar Council of India rules.

While you can practice, appearing regularly in specific Telangana courts might require membership in that local Bar Association.

Your friend can practice in either of the Courts (AP as well as Telengana) of his choice after leaving the job, if his enrollment with Bar Council is in vogue.

Dear sir,

Thank you for your reply.

However, he does not know how to start practicing, as he completed his LLB in 2013.
Is he required to start working with a Senior Advocate ?

Please advise on how to begin practice as an advocate and handle court cases.

If at all he is interested to practise law, he should make his own efforts either to get his practice through a senior advocate or on his own as an indepedent advocate, he is an advocate and and not a kid that he will be required to catch his hand to walk.

Don't be so anxious about his problems, let him solve them  by himself because this question do not involve any legal issue.

You may advise your friend / lawyer to join a local senior lawyer to learn legal practice, if he is interested to become a legal professional, which cannot be taught by experts on this platform.

What is your concern / worry about solving problem of your "friend" if your averment is taken to be gospel truth and correct ?
