Land

Hi, my grandfather had acquired govt land in betwee n 1940-1945 after was paying fine/tax,application was filed before Tahsildar/DC twice but was rejected, later govt stopped collecting tax from last 5 to 6 yrs is it possible to claim ownership of said land kindly advice

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the potential to claim ownership of government land acquired by a grandfather between 1940-1945. Despite applications being rejected and tax payments ceasing, the advice suggests that claiming such land might be difficult due to potential illegality or the 'enemy property' classification. A claim would likely need to have been made by 1978, and more facts are needed to provide definitive guidance.
