Juridiction

If property cost is above 1 cr and developer delayed the possession more than 6month after rera date.

Should I file comaplaint in National Commission as property cost is above 1 cr or file comaplaint in district or state commission forum as per delay compensation amunt?

Quick Summary
If you've experienced a property possession delay exceeding six months past the RERA date and the property cost is over 1 crore, determining the correct consumer forum is crucial. Recent changes in jurisdiction rules mean District Commissions handle cases up to 50 lakh, State Commissions handle cases from over 50 lakh up to 2 crore, and the National Commission handles cases exceeding 2 crore. For property costs above 1 crore and significant delays, filing in the State Commission is generally advised.
