Joint membership in cghs

Hi

My wife owned a flat in Delhi CGHS and became member in the year 2009. Last month I also applied for the joint membership which got approved by the MC. Now I want to know what are my rights as a joint member. Can a joint member after getting consent from first member, be elected in the management committee ?

Regards

ATLEAST, in Maharashtra, under the MCS Act,  a joint member or a associate member, may contest society elections and get elected to the managing committee,  BUT ONLY WITH THE WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE FIRST REGISTERED MEMBER.

The law in Delhi, probably would also be identical.  In normal circumstances, the joint member enjoys all the rights of the first member, except for transfer of property rights.
