Issues with Society NOC

I am planning to sell out my flat but my society is demanding BIG amount for NOC(8 % of sell amount). Is there any other way to get NOC or Is there any law to tackle with this situation? Thanks in advance.

Dear Sir,

A cooperative housing society cannot claim more than 0.5 per cent of the value of a flat while allowing its owner to sell it to an outsider, This judgement was delivered by Calcutta High Court .
