Sir / madam

Please specify if member eligible for cooperative housing society elections if 3rd child born on july 2002 as I understand there was a grace period of one year from the date of 7th September 2001 under relevant section

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the eligibility of a member for cooperative housing society elections in Maharashtra. Specifically, it addresses whether having a third child born in July 2002 disqualifies them. The key point revolves around a one-year grace period from September 7th, 2001, which allows individuals with more than two children to remain eligible if the third child was born within that year.

The provisions of law clarifies that a person having more than two children excluding the additional third child born within one year from the date of commencement of the Act shall not be disqualified so long as the number of the children on the date of commencement does not increase.
