Internet content

Hello, Learned Counsel!

One of my relatives is a content writer, she used to write an article. One day, she wrote an article from different sites by paraphrasing the few lines and adding few contents to it. Also, she changed the vocabulary of few words. One of the site owners sends her a legal notice to put down the content. But she found out that only two lines she had taken from his site and that too she paraphrased and written in her article. Is there any legal remedy available to her?
What are the criteria to sue a content writer for content theft and how to avoid legal repercussions while delivering content on the Internet?
