Inquring for summons

Got summons letter form Calcutta West Bengal but live in Gujarat surat

For a loan of principal amount of 240000

Already paid 10/12 month

But as per having cancer in 2022/23 I got loss in all business but loan was taken in 2024 now I have health issue and mind is not getting stable I wanted to settlement the amount but they are not giving good settlement amount can I have a good suggestion sir/ lawyers my seniors

You can appear before the court and seek for referring the case to lok adalat for mediation settlement.

Besides well analsed, opined and advise of learned senior expert Mr. T Kalaiselvan, which I endorse, you may sort out problem with the Bank directly or through the process of mediation.

However, if you are unable to convience and settle the issue with the plaintiff / Bank you may contest it through a local prudent lawyer.

If the summons have been issue JM Calcutta it is a criminal complaint case.

How does JM Calcutta has acquired jurisdiction when the financier-cum-complainant is stated to have been located in Surat, Gujarat ?

Presumption of facts shall be improper.
