I have a flat at Navi Mumbai.
Few days back our building formed a new society after terminating the old society who ruled for almost 3-4 years.
New society held an Annual General Meeting to discuss on few matters. Total member in the society are 27 and the member present in the meeting was 14 (I was not present in the meeting)
Though they took few good decisions but there are decisions which is actually unfair (I personally feel) in which I need your valuable suggestion to talk with the society. They are listed below.
1. They hiked the maintenance cost (which is ok to me)
2. They decided that the owner who rent the flat need to pay extra (Which I don’t agree).
My actual maintenance is Rs.1200 PM
Now since I had rented my flat they want me to pay extra Rs.600.. i.e Total of Rs.1800 PM.
They are saying that this is as per the law whereas society can increase in the maintenance of those flat which are rented out.
My quires:
1. Is the extra amount of Rs.600 per month for the renter is as per the law ?
2. If not as per the law, how should I demand the society to amend the decision.
Please help urgently.
