Incorrect wording of gazette petroleum ministry march this year

Repected Laywers,

Petrolium ministry has published a gazette in March to surrender LPG connection.

The wording is

No person having a Piped Natural Gas connection and also having domestic LPG connection shall retain a domestic LPG connection, or take refills of domestic LPG cylinders from any Government oil company, or through their distributors. Such persons will be required to immediately surrender their domestic LPG connection

But this is incomplete statement. IN THE SAME HOUSEHOLD ADDRESS part is missing in it.

I have been asked to surrender my LPG connection because my communication number registered is same on both, but I have two different houses owned by me. One has Piped gas and another has LPG. They are not in the same household.

How do I contest this statement? and where to complaint.

The solution is government officials must have a way to track two connections in the same household, Only going by communication number is ridiculously wrong!!

Most LPG regulations define a household as a group of people living together and having a common kitchen. Since your two properties have separate kitchens and separate addresses, they are separate households.

You may visitr your distributor in person. Provide a written declaration stating that the LPG connection is for a separate residence. Ask them to update the "Communication Number" for one of the connections to a different mobile number (perhaps a spouse's or a secondary number). This often breaks the "link" in the automated system.

If the distributor is unhelpful, you may approach the source (IOCL, BPCL, or HPCL). Submit a formal letter contesting the surrender notice. Explicitly state: "The PNG and LPG connections serve two distinct households at distinct geographical addresses, and thus do not fall under the purview of the mandatory surrender clause."

If the local office is unresponsive, use these official channels:  PGportal.gov.in or @MoPNG_eSeva) on X (Twitter) often gets a faster "human" response for technical glitches. or LPG Helpline (1906) and vent out your grievances while seeking remedy and relief.

You may inform the Distributer/Company on the lines suggested.

Thank you Sirs.

After I made some noise with the gas company, they have formally written an email that PNG connection and LPG in different households (but still same mobile) is acceptable.

Well if you are able to solve your problem somehow, you can proceed accordingly.
