In 498a court impounded my passport

Dear Querist,

Your passport would have been impounded only if the investigating officer, of the case that has been filled against you, feels that it is needed as you might try disturbing the case by avoiding or not showing up in court.

Your passport can not be impounded due to the mere reason that a case is filled under section 498a against you.

Your passport will be impounded by the authorities, you can thus challenge this in the courts, or wait until the trail is over as your presence there is clearly needed.
