Image for book

Dear Experts,

1) Can I use the same Image which I have already used for another Book in a new Book of mine?

2) If I publish coloured versions, which I have coloured myself, of the B/W originals extant in another book by another author for a book of mine, then would I be in violation of his copyright?

Thanks,

Kaushik.

If you are copying some image-book cover for another publication, you have to properly seek permission from the former to avoid violation of Copy right provisions. In case , the for former publication ,thereis no registered copyright, then ther is no violation.
