How to search for ipr jobs?

I am currently working for an it company as sr. legal manager position.  I am doing pgdipr from nlsiu bangalore.  I did many online courses of IPR.  I applied to several companies for ipr related jobs.  They require experince in the concerned work.  Can anybody suggest me how I should proceed?

To gain experience in IPR, you will have to work in an exclusive Trademark agency firm, because companies usually go for such firms to cater their needs.  Alternatively, you can work in a company where there are team of legal professionals handling IPR matters.  Meanwhile, you can also forward your particulars to the IPINDIA for inclusion of your name as IPR attorney.  All depends on luck.  I have an office which is situated above a registrar office.  I thought  I will be getting frequent legal opinion demands and documents drafting, but in vain.  Practically, the document writers earn 100 times more than a lawyer due to their liaisoning and adjustments.  So, hard work hardly pays!

Dear Uma,

Where would you like to  go in IPR.    Trademarks, Copyright , Patents or GI.

Patents field is good one. However,  you need to have technical background as per the law. I think you are already in a very good position. Infact, people look for such kind of job where they could become legal mangers or councel of company.

Regards,

Iftikhar Ahsan

There are a few prominent law firms dealing exclusively in IPR. Google might help.  Often-times, good networking helps in this legal field.
