How to register a religion legally in india,process and cost

Religion never is registered.  You shall visit the priest/faster/imam/Sikh guru as per your religion.  Generally there will be no fees.

Sir, that means, to create a new religion, one doesn't need any legal requirements, whatsoever. Just awareness and membership. Please correct me if I am wrong. Best Regards

If you wish to change your religion, you can do it.  Just consult that religion Head.

Sir, not changing. But for creating a new religion. Like ww have Hinduism Buddhism Christianity Islam etc. Are these legally registered religions ? To create a new religion, is there any legal requirement, registration. Regards
