housing society querry

We conducted AGM today at our society for which notice were sent 21 days prior by society with agenda. maintainance increase was one of agenda..30 members out of 48 attended AGM. since maintenance was not increase from last 4 year's members discussed and calculated the expenses and decided to increase maintenance by 15% to 18%
So maintenance was increased from Rs 600 To Rs 750 for owners.
Rs 650 To Rs 800 for Rentals.
Rs 750 To Rs 900 for Shops.
Now people not attending AGM started arguing demanding concencus .does These people'have rights to cancle decision taken in AGM??

Quick Summary
A housing society held its AGM with proper notice and agenda, including a maintenance fee increase. Despite 30 out of 48 members attending and approving the rise, some absent members are now disputing the decision. The discussion clarifies that generally, decisions made at a properly convened AGM are binding, and absent members cannot typically overturn them. If a challenge is made, it may need to be filed with the registrar, depending on the society's bylaws.

What is the majority for a quorum for the General Body meeting?  Generally, it is 2/3rds or 3/5th majority of members present. So verify the bylaws of the society.

If the decision of the General body is questioned, an case could be filed before the registrar. Otherwise everybody should abide and accept the decision.
