Hc/sc judgements required for ipc 279 case

In Sep 2012, my car was rammed from behind by another vehicle whose driver could not brake in time. But the police charged me with IPC 279 since the car belonged to a senior government officer and they used their influence with the police. I am currently fighting the case in court.

I know it is a widely accepted rule that in the case of rear-end collisions, it is the driver of the vehicle behind who is held to be at fault since he/she was supposed to main a sufficient distance and/or low enough speed to be able to stop in time. But are there any specific high court or supreme court judgements which reinforce the same? It would help me greatly with my case.

Thanks in advance...

Do you have any proof that you have not used sudden braking ?

Any photographs of the accident spot ?

Expert / technician opinion about both vehicles?

No case law needed in your case, mere perfect argument may release you.
