General ower of attorney

MY RESPECTED COLLEAGUES. GREETINGS TO YOU ALL.


Can one person give powers by executing General Power of Attorney to 4 persons (either family members or business partners) at a time in his business, during his absence. Please update ASAP.

Dear Mr. Srinivas,

 

It is perfectly valid to give POA to 2 people at one document itself and there is no restriction in law for the same.

But people avoid to do the same, since that might lead to conflict between the approach of 2 POA holders as each person may have a different approach.

It may not be forbidden by law but the conflict of interests between the agents may jeopardise the very purpose of executing such a deed.
