Fresh petition u/s482 to quash fir

Dear Advocates,

My friend was falsely booked for a case of murder attempt. We have proper evidence for his innocence.
My friend filed a quash petition u/s 482 of the FIR through an advocate in the Madras High Court.

My friend's advocate failed to attend any hearing. But the respondent petitiioner and Govt. Attorney attended the final hearing.

Now the Highcourt vacated the stay and ordered the concerned Inspector of police to continue the investitgation and file the case before the judge and close the case within a period of 3 months.

Now six months have gone from the date of the High court order. But sofar no case is filed before the court by the concerned Inspector of Police.

Now my question is can my friend file a fresh case to quash the fir or can he file a revision petition?

Please advice.

Quick Summary
A user's friend was falsely accused of attempted murder and had an FIR filed. They filed a quash petition under Section 482 in the Madras High Court, but their advocate missed hearings. The High Court lifted the stay and ordered the police to complete the investigation and file a case within three months. Six months later, no case has been filed, and the user is asking if a fresh quash petition or a revision petition can be filed.

Let the Police file the final report. You may decide further course of action thereafter.
