Firecrackers for personal use

I have bought firecrackers for my family but carry it in my car? Is it legal? It's purely for personal use. I am travelling from one state to another.

Quick Summary
Transporting firecrackers in your car, even for personal use, can be complex. Legality often depends on the quantity you're carrying and specific district restrictions imposed by local authorities. While you might be able to carry them, be aware that insurance claims may not apply in case of an accident. It's advisable to consult a local lawyer for precise advice tailored to your situation and the states you'll be travelling through.

1. Depending on quantity of the Fire Crackers, you will be able to personally carry them.  However, in case of mishap, the Insurance claim shall not be applicable.  Check your insurance policy.

2. Further it also depends on district restrictions imposed u/s 144 by the district Police Commissioner /Superintendent.

State laws apply for quantity and quality of fire crackers transported.

It would be better to consult a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts and professional advise.
