Fir over three years

An FIR registered three yrs back on an accused sumoto. But so far not intimated accused or Inquired. Now only came to know there pending FIR. That too unofficially. Is there timeframe to to file charges sheet. Or will it lapse automatically

BEWARE of people like "OM PRAKASH" (a Frustrated & poisonous Expert), wherein he wrongly hallucinates & falsely proclaims that "Charge Sheet must be filed within 90 days of the FIR"

CONSIDER THIS:
1. IF Charge-Sheet is not filed by Police within Three years for the IPC offences you mentioned. the police is barred to file Charge Sheet (in exceptional cases, with permission of Court)
