As per your query!

According to section 154(2) of the criminal procedure code, 1973 the FIR should mention the date and time of the incident and the identity of the accused (if known) in a precise manner. After it is registered, the complainant is entitled to a copy free of charge. The Crime Number in the FIR is the reference for all future follow-ups.

Henceforth, you don't need to worry about the original FIR.

Hope it is understandable!

FIR missing is unknown, as most of the states must upload and make it available for information, as voluntary disclosure under RTI Act.  When a file or document is missing, the authorities under obligation to report the fact to higher authorities and re build them with other copies.
