Fasten the proceedings under Negotiable instruments act

Is there any way to fast track the proceedings under section 138 of the negotiable instruments act in the district court (not appeal or anything). Is there any tactic to avoid getting into the trial phase from the complainant side. If it goes into trial is there anyway where the case could end between a year ? I'm not sure but I heard if one can get high court direction then the District court is forced to hasten the proceedings Is it true ? It'll be extremely helpful if anyone can guide me through this. And if possible kindly share the ways to fasten the process.Thank you
