False allegations

My friend's wife has put false allegations of domestic violence on him recently. He is filing a divorce now. She is not in this town right now. My friend has to shift to some other place but he does not want to take the risk of taking his wife along as she can go to the extreme now. Can he avail any help legally for protection against her wife and can he move to the new place without her?

Quick Summary
If your friend is facing false allegations of domestic violence and is filing for divorce, he has the legal right to move out and start living separately. He does not need to live with his wife if he is unwilling to do so, and can relocate without her.

He cannot be compelled to live with together if he is not willing to do so.

He can very well leave her and start living separately due to the reasons that you have stated.
