I am mahesh from Bangalore , my grand father inherited agricultural land from his father ( which was a ancestral property), where in my great grand father had 5 children ( 3 male and 2 female),.
In the year 1993 there was a family discussion on the partitition of the all properties which was in my grandfather's name was divided, in this situation the male children ( all 3 ) said they would keep the immovable property and give the same value of the cash to the sisters ... accdordingly the same was actition with first the cash was given to both the sisters and they happily accepted the same and gave it in writing (affidavit-non registered) that they would not interefere in the further proceedings of the brothers ...
The partition(unregistered) between the brothers on the immovable property was divided and resptive transfers for account ( kahata had taken place) and the properties being enjoyed since then
Out of 3 brothers the elder one being my father is the elder one and is deceased in 2002 and hence all the properties is in my name and I have been enjoying the same .
Now the case is , recently we ( me and my uncles) have sold some part of the lands to a single party and this has fetched us a decent value ...but the sisters(my aunts) have taken it up and they have filed a petitioned against us..( the land was sold in 2011) claiming more compensation to them or equal rights.
The entire maintainnce , issues, everything was maintained by all three brothers ( offlate me and my uncles) all these years , but now the sisters of my uncles and father have filed a petition in the court.
I request you all to please guide me on this , what would be my defence in this case ( including my uncles)
