Excess salary and relieving letter

Hi All,

I was an employee and left the organisation after serving the notice period as per the hr manager confirmation on my last working day.

As per their email confirmation, I was expecting my FNF and relieving documents on or before 45 days, I was continuously following up with HR team on the same. After 75 days from my last working with the several follow up Hr sent a email to accept the payslip to generate therelieving letter. After gone through the payslip I understand the recovery amount must pay by me. When I ask for the clarity if you want the documents you should pay.

As per the calculation of numbers working day amount is less and recovery ammount mentioned high, when I ask for the clarity hr was trying to connect with the payroll team but team is repeating the same to pay back without proper clarity.

Currently I not working, kindly help me with your valuable advice.

Quick Summary
An employee left their job after serving the notice period but is facing delays in receiving their relieving letter and final settlement. The HR department is demanding repayment of an 'excess salary' before issuing the letter, but the employee disputes the calculation and lacks clarity. Advice suggests sending a legal notice to seek resolution.

You can resort to legal action by first serving a legal notice to them seeking clarifications and solve the issue amicably failing which you can escalate the matter through legal sources.
