Evidence act

Greetings to the experts!

Sir/Ma'am, I want to know that can a prosecution ask for circumvent section 27 IEA and get inadmissible portions of confessional statement under section 39 IEA admitted in the name of getting full understanding of the longer statement?

Quick Summary
This discussion explores a legal query regarding the admissibility of confessional statements under the Evidence Act. Specifically, it questions whether a prosecution can use Section 39 to admit inadmissible portions of a confession, under the guise of providing full context for the longer statement, thereby circumventing Section 27. The aim is to clarify the application of these sections in legal proceedings.

Read for your own benefit and enlighten others without expecting spoon-feeding from experts on this platform as it is meant for helping needy litigants and not for providing coaching service. .

What are the facts? What is the context?
