 As you want a refund of STAMP DUTY is claimed the maximum period of limitation is 6 months only. If the claim is within 6 months the Stamp Duty will be refunded after deducting 10% of the total Stamp Duty Paid.

The party intending to have refund of STAMP DUTY has to apply to the concerned District Collector/Sub-Collector/Deputy Collector/R.D.O/Tahsildar under section 2(9) of I.S Act, through the Sub-Registrar dully mentioning the reasons for seeking refund along with challan and receipt in original issued by the designated Bank branch.
