Cutting hand ( a kind of suicidal attempt)

sirs and madam,

Recently one person in a reputed professional academy which imparts training after selection to an organisation attempted to cut his hand. The attempt was unsuccessful and got injuries.Another person a kind of known batchmate complained against that to the organisation authorities. The authorities investigated the matter and found that it comes under severe action which is prejudicial to the organisation and its name.

Further the organisation which is private wants to terminate the employee and recover the amount spent on training.

Would it be justice to the employee ?What can be done in the case to save the employee from being financially harassed.

The organisation cannot act on it own on such issues, it may have to adhere to the rules and regulations especially to its employees' conduct rules and to initiate appropriate action as envisaged in the rules in this regard. What is the action taken by the organisation so far on this issue?

sir,the organisation treats it as a action which is perjudicial. And has given notice to remove the employee  from service and claim a bond amount to the tune of 3 lakh of rupees.
