Criminal private complaint

I have one queery as regards whether the affidavit is necessary while filing private complaint before JMFC Court?

The complainant is file cri. Private complaint under Section 467 of forgery. So whether required separate affidavit to complaint?

Pls guide me.

Yes, affidavit is mandatory. Moreover, if a cognisable offence, you ought to have approached of the police first and in case of refusal to register the FIR, then only the private complaint lies.

Of course the complaint before JMFC has to be supported by an affidavit.

The affidavit by the complainant is a mandatory requirement to confirm the genuineness of the complaint and it is statutory provision.
