A local court has sought a reply from film actor Sunny Deol for not paying his lawyer the promised fee in a case pending with railway court.
A recovery suit in this regard was filed in the court of Additional District Judge VIII by Mukesh Dhakad on behalf of Sunny's advocate Suresh Kumar Sahni who in May this year had filed a bail petition and an application in Rajasthan High Court to extend the time limit for Sunny to appear in the railway court.
"The court issued notice on August 18 last, and next date of hearing in this regard is on October 3," Dhakad told PTI here on Wednesday.
"Sunny had agreed to pay Rs 1,40,000 as advocate's fee. He once paid a cheque of Rs 22,000, but did not pay the remaining amount later," he said.
"During shooting of a film 'Bajrangi' in year 1998, a train was stopped without permission near Naraina town here, for which the railway court had asked four persons, including Sunny Deol to appear in the court," Dhakad said.
