Defendant filed Counter claim in a suit as a reply to the rejoinder filed by the plaintiff. If the counter claim filed by the defendent allowed/proved, is it necessary to the defendent lead the evedence in the said suit filed by the plaintiff? Kindly explain the situation. Any citations in this matter.

Counter claim if filed by defendant along with written statement (not as reply to replication of plaintiff) is to be registered as a separate suit, which will have to follow complete procedure
