Counter claim

In a civil suit for recovery of possession of land, there are two defendent but out of them only one defenant has filed counter claim and another defedant has filed only written statement

In this situation, will this counter claim applicable to both defendant or only one defenant which has been filed counter claim

Quick Summary
In a civil case for land possession, only one of two defendants filed a counter claim, while the other submitted only a written statement. The question is whether this counter claim benefits both defendants or just the one who filed it. Generally, a counter claim's applicability depends on the specific relief sought and its relation to the other defendant.

The counter claim filed by the defendent is seeking relief what he wants, it may or may not be against the second defendant, depends on the relief sought

The counter claimant shall reap its fruits.

What is your locus standi to the suit / counter claim ??
