Quick Summary
A flat owner has discovered a typo in their property's index 2 parking details, with 'A1 BP-18' incorrectly listed as 'A13-BP18'. They are seeking information on the cost of correcting this error, including potential legal fees. The advice suggests that minor corrections to registration documents typically incur a nominal charge, but significant changes might require higher stamp duty. It's also noted that registration and rectification charges, as well as lawyer's fees, vary by location and the lawyer's standing.

Registration of a rectification deed attracts a nominal charge of Rs 100, if the original documents only have minor mistakes. If major changes need to be made, the sub-registrar's office may demand higher stamp duty.

Registration and rectification charges are State specific.  Lawyer's fees depends upon his stature.

Stamp duty and registration charges are State subjects which differ from a state to another.

Similary there is no yardstick for a lawyer's fees.
