what is the difference between culpable homicide and murder?

degree of intention is more in murder than culpable homicide .

If your action results in the death of a person, whereas you had no intention of killing him or anyone else, it is called culpable homicide not amounting to murder. You are punishable for your action, but the punishment may be much lighter than for murder.
