Whether any agreement has been executed between you and contractor for construction of your house.? If yes then what are terms and conditions? Please specify.

what is the plot size, which state it is, agreement terms, payment made, give further details

Show the agreement to a local prudent lawyer for analyses, professional guidance and necessary proceeding.

Local police can be of little help in this case.

What is reason for stoppage of work? Is there any dispute between you related to the construction?  You have to bring out complete facts including the agreement, if any executed with you and its terms & conditions rather than merely giving one-sided picture please.

There must be a reason for him to stop the work, which you must be knowing. Pl post that reason for correct advice.

Yes, post the complete facts. Anyhow, no police action lies in a civil dispute.
