Consumer court order to be executed in another court

the judge in consumer court says he can pass order but the same court cannot execute the order. I want to obtain the order but am not sure which court to go to in order to have the order executed. can anybody provide an answer as to which court would execute an order passed by consumer court?

If your case was heard by the District Consumer Forum, any EA/EP would have to be normally dealt with by your local city civil court.

how long does it take to have the order executed? and what exactly is EA/EP?

Normally it should be executed within a weeks' time to ten days, approximately.

EA/EP stands for Execution Application/Execution Petition. In your case the day the order was passed, you need to file the EA within one month/30 days' time. If your consumer court is unable to execute its order, the same may be forwarded to your local district court within whose limits you reside in or work for a living. The DC will execute the CC's order u/Section 25(b) of CoPRA.

if there is anything else I can help you with, please e-mail me at: basu_kunal@hotmail.com. I will be most delighted to assist you out regarding your case.
