Can somebody explain me the difference between Discovery and Inspection of a document under Order XI of CPC

That is regarding documents which are belived to be in any of the Parties possesion and discovery or production of such documents is necessary to dispose off the case.

Amd what is meant by inspection?

That is upon notice any party may let the other party to inspect the documents based in his case  as annexures or made any reference thereto for inspection of   such documents  and take copies. If the documents which are referred in the case but not produced at the time of filing and no notice is given to inspect them cannot produced on latter stage. Order XI is the stage where the proceedings begin by interrogatories.
