Civil appeal supreme court

A case (CIVIL APPEAL) was to be listed in october in Supreme Court for Final disposal as per the updates available on Supreme Court website.

However, it was not taken up that day due to it appearing at later serial number under misclaneous.

Now the court website also is not providing details of any further listing, and the company officials say that the matter is now on course of hearing and it will take another 3-4 months for the hearing to take place and that no further date would be given on the court's website.

It would be great if someone can please throw light on the procedure followed in hearing of such cases by the supreme court, and how can we keep a track of the same?

The procedure informed is right. Sometimes matters are listed in 2014!! No date is given would mean that the case was not yet updated. Wait for sometime and if then also there is no update, you can make a mention before the court for listing pleading the nature of urgency. If the court is satisfied, they will take up the case.

Another immediate measure is to enquire with the Section officer to update the case status to gather some knowldge as to the time within which matter would be listed.
