I want to know what is the law procedure for change of name
My name entered in Birth certificate is "Digamber Damodar Gosavi", however my all educational certificates contain "Digamber Damodar Mayekar".This is because my uncle,when i was studying in bangalore, has filled the SSLC examination form with the name "Digamber Damodar Mayekar".Now I am facing lots of problems.Some advocates have advised me to take divergence certificate in the latter name, But I want my name as "Digamber Damodar Gosavi" on all documents.
So can you please advise as to what I can do to change the name as per birth certificates.
