Central Police forces job

I have been selected for a job in the police forces. before final appointment, I have been asked to give an affidavit stating if there was ever an FIR filed against me.

An FIR was filed 10 yrs ago, where the case was closed by mutual consent. I was a party in the FIR although I was a minor then.

Can I be denied appointment based on this, if I file an affidavit stating the same?

You have to disclose the truth in the affidavit by stating the entire facts of the case. If there is any copy available for the same, it is advisable to attach together with the affidavit so that they can go through it in deatil.
