Can hindu married woman claim father's property?

DEAR SIR/MADAM,

          My mother is a hindu married woman.could she get property share from her father when he is not willing to give her.actually  my mother's grandfather bought that land and directly registered to his son(her father) name.could she get stay by claiming that it was not bought by his own money?couldh her father gives will to anyone?If you provide advise it would be helpful for us.Thank you.

she can definatly claim in it. and file a suit in civil court and get a stay order. so that he cant sale.

Ganga,

First remember your G'father is free to gift it or will it any one he wish to as per hindu law.

Secondly can you & your mother prove the same about the puchase of the said property/properties.

Thirdly your mother  can make a suit against any will / gift ? and can ask her part in the property. but you have to prove that the property is not purchased by him.

Finally consult a good lawyer for the same ASAP.
