Can a government employee goingto retire get pension, fund, gratuity without giving family details?

I want to know if a government employee  who is going to retire soon , can he get his pension, fund, gratuity without giving family details like name of his wife, children, joint bank account, jointly photo with spouse? Especially when his wife is living seperately. He (the employee) is giving maintaince decided by the court to his wife. Even the Child/Children also living with the mother.

A government employee has to give all details of his / her family at the time of joining service.

Thank you . My question is related to providing family details about retirement time. and not related to joining time. As he might be single at joining time.

You can go through a hand book on family pension under CCS (pension) rules 1972
