Your question is not clear. Is it simply refers to bringing up some child of  non Hindu couple , or, do you mean to say, adopting of non Hindu child by a Hindu couple and rearing of the child? If there is adoption, then, yes, the child can be braought up as a Hindu child. If there is no adoption and the child simply lives with a Hindu family, he/she will be knowing the rituals followed in that family but the right to perform those rituals will not be generally allowed even though the child is brought up in that family.

Dear Ms.Payal Nandi,

There are two limbs to your question.  Legally speaking there is no bar as such it is permissible.

Otherwise the practical difficulty in day to day life and pre concieved notion how the child will react when faced with this truth after attaining majority is another question the answer to which depends upon the inculcation of positive values in the child for his/her betterment.

I hope your query stands satisfied.

Thanks and best regards

Daksh
