One of my cousins is working in MNC in Mumbai and she recently got paid maternity from her work. She has decided to raise the kid and leave her job after maternity leave. Will she be liable for any breach if she chooses to do so? Also, will she get the salary for the paid leave period?

Depends on the policy of the organisation like notice period to be served , term & condition of contract while joining.
