Black mailing by candidate


We have a callcentre in Mahape. We had a recuritment campaign in the last month , where 15 agent were appointment after screening and remaining 12 were rejected after they failed the screening test.

These failed agent are harrasing us by asking for salary for the period when they were undergoing screening test. They are threatening our operations manger and have been trying all the ways to malign our company name .


Please advice what is to be done against them.

This is an interesting discussion.

As rightly pointed out by Mr. Sudhir Kumar it shall be appropriate to provide factual details.

"asking for salary for the period when they were undergoing screening test."

For how long and for how many days the screening test was conducted?

What was the task assigned during this screening test? Was it like actual and regular work being performed by regular employees for more than say 1 day?

Assuming the screening continued for say 15 days, how can the candidate's demand be called erroneous.

During the screening, did these people actually work, if yes, then how many days and hours of work ?  Did you have any contract signed with them about it ?  I think it is more out of frustration and pressure tactics.  You can take local police help if the situation is going out of hand.
