Dear Lawyers,
I need somebody in Trivandrum to help me with the leg work on this one please. My husband was born in Trivandrum 35 years ago. His mother's name on the hospital record is Mary, whereas her name on all other legal documents is Mariamma. We need his birth certificate to be issued and his birth is not registered.
How do we proceed to get his mother's name correct on his birth certificate (which has in reality never been issued).

Kindly be sure that your husband did not get his birth certificate at all so far, but how will you prove his age, does he have educational certificate to prove his date of birth? The Municipal authorities or the The Registrar of births and deaths will not be able to issue the birth certificate now, hence he has to approach the court of law along with certain evidences of his date of birth and a non availability certificate from the concerned authorities, seeking a direction to register the date of birth and to issue you with the same, that is the only alternative. Kindly contact some local advocate on the issue.
