Bank letter to confiscate money

Hi,

My friend having saving bank account for which they having dispute.

My friend won the case and a penalty of Rs 2000 is ordered by Consumer forum to bank and to release bank account which is frozen illegally by bank.

Now bank has also some problem and they said they will confiscate money if she not respond in 7 day of letter issuance date (Please note : Its not the received date) now only 1 day left before she got the letter.

1. So is it legal ? can bank do this ?

2. Bank also not given 2000 penalty to my friend, Its 1.5 year approx she won the case.

3. I believe at-least 15 days is required to be legal.

Please reply ASAP , Only 1 Day left.

Thanks

Bank is merely a custodian of the Consumer's deposited money  so they have no authority to confiscate the same.  Consult with an experienced lawyer and serve legal notice upon the bank stating your just grievances.

Your query is devoid of facts and the circumstances under which the bank has issued notice to your friend. Come out with details if you want proper opinion.
