bail during lockdown

a person is sent to jail on 21 st but the courts are closed thereafter .... can he get bail during lockdown

Quick Summary
If someone was jailed just before lockdown and courts subsequently closed, they can still apply for bail. Courts are considered an essential service and remain open for urgent hearings, including bail applications. It is advisable to contact a lawyer promptly to initiate the bail process and explore options for releasing the individual.

Courts are not closed for Bail or urgent hearing matters. He can get Bail as per procedure of the law. High Courts have also issued circulars regarding rease of undertrial prisioners. Contact a lawyer and post bail.

Hello,
Please you need to contact a lawyer to apply for bail for that person. District courts are open. Please check there.

Hi

Thank you for the question

Hire a prudent Lawyer to apply for the bail. During Lockdown in the courts will, as an essential service, remain open  such as bail.

Hope this will help you

Best regards,

Akshay Gupta
